Matthew Daniell (Guiding) has been practicing Buddhist meditation and yoga for over 20 years. He studied Zen in Japan and Insight Meditation in India, Burma, and Thailand. His teachers include Munindra, Dipa Ma, Larry Rosenberg, Sharon Salzberg, and Joseph Goldstein. He studied yoga in the tradition of T.K.V. Desikachar of Madras India, and is certified to teach in several traditions. Matthew resides in West Newbury and teaches at various universities and retreat centers. He also co-leads retreats with Larry Rosenberg at the Insight Meditation Society, Omega, Kripalu, and CIMC.
Kate Lila Wheeler (Guest) Has been practicing yoga and meditation since her early teens. She began formal Buddhist practice in 1977. In the late 1980s she was briefly ordained as a nun in Rangoon, Myanmar and has been teaching retreats since the early 1990s. More recently she has assisted Sharon Salzberg at Loving-Kindness retreats at Insight Meditation Society in Barre, MA. She lives in Somerville and is an accomplished writer of fiction, travel journalism, and personal essays.
Chas DiCapua (Guest) began practicing in 1989 in the Zen tradition. In 1995 he started Insight Meditation practice and has worked extensively with Joseph Goldstein and other leading teachers. Since 2003 Chas has been the resident teacher at the Insight Meditation Society in Barre, MA. He also teaches at other centers in New England.
Larry Rosenberg has been practicing Zen and Insight Meditation for over 30 years. He is the founder and a guiding teacher at the Cambridge Insight Meditation Center, a senior teacher at the Insight Meditation Society, and author of Breath by Breath and Living in the Light of Death.
The following teacher does not have any offerings in the current schedule, but will return in the future: Winnie Nazarko (Guest) has been a student and practitioner of Buddhism since 1981, and was authorized to teach in 1996. She has a background in community organizing and human services leadership, and a special interest in how meditative practices can strengthen human capacity to address social, political and environmental issues.

Maria Van Dusen is the Director of IMCN. She is a longtime community organizer and meditator. Maria is joined by a dedicated team of volunteers in supporting the day-to-day activities of the center. Special thanks to Ellen Forbes, Valerie Haase, Sheila Kelley and Leor Zolman.
